Table tennis, darts, badminton, volleyball and boules are available at La Logerie as is a childrens play area with adventure fort, slide, swings, see-saw and sand-pit. Guests have access to the tennis court just a couple of kilometres away in Mauprevoir. It is possible to fish in the stream, which runs through the grounds. The surrounding area is also ideal cycling country, gently undulating with plenty of small villages and hamlets through which to travel, and perhaps stop for a rest and refreshment! GolfThe two closest golf courses are those of Mignaloux-Beauvoir and St Junien. Both are well maintained and within a 40 minute drive of La Logerie. A little further away are the courses of Chateau des Forges and Golf de la Preze Le Manoir de Beauvoir40min drive, 8kms east of Poitiers. 18 holes par 72, pine & oak tree forest. €35 to €40 green fee. Golf de Saint Junien40 min drive, near to Limoges. 18 hole par 72. There are also several rivers nearby for which day licences can be purchased. Horse ridingApproximately 15 kms away, horse riding is available, for lessons, riding by the hour, half-day or with a picnic included, there is also a full day ride. Motor racingAt Le Vigeant, near L’ Isle Jourdain, is situated the fourth largest motor racing track in France. Race meetings are held at various times throughout the year. Water sportsIn L’Isle Jourdain there is a variety of water activities, canoeing, water skiing etc., based on the River Vienne, together with bungee jumping at weekends in high season from the now disused railway viaduct spanning the Vienne. |
